Although there are several processes for a host to join a Zoom meeting on a desktop application, there is only 1 process for participants. This method also works for hosts.
Joining a Zoom meeting on the Zoom desktop application
1. Click the meeting –link on your desktop device. The invite can usually be found in Moodle if your course takes place in Moodle, but may also be in the course letter or email message:
Note the meeting ID and passcode, if the Zoom application requests it.
If the meeting -link is in Moodle, click the link:
2. The meeting link will open in your web browser. Click the Launch Meeting –button.
Note! If the Zoom application version is not up to date, the Zoom application will ask you to update it. Read the update guide.
Note! The Join from browser -function is not recommended nor supported.
3. Participants may be asked to type their name and click the Join Meeting -button. Logged in users will have their name provided automatically.
4. If the meeting uses a waiting room, you will be put in the waiting room and the host will be notified.
5. Once you are admitted into the meeting, click the Test Speaker and Microphone -button and complete the test.
Note! It is recommended to click Test speaker and microphone -button every time a meeting is joined.
6. Select your microphone headset from the list of connected devices. Click the Yes –button once you hear the sounds from the correct device.
7. Select your microphone headset from the list of connected devices. Speak into the microphone and check the input level moves when speaking. Click the Yes –button once your own speech is heard back to you.
8. Click the End Test –button.
9. After a successful test, Click the Join with Computer Audio –button.

Joining a Zoom meeting on the Zoom mobile application
Note! If the Zoom application asks permission to use your microphone and camera, give permission.
1. Click the meeting –link on your mobile device. The invite can usually be found in Moodle if your course takes place in Moodle, but may also be in the course letter. If the link came via email or a calendar invitation, click the "Click here to join the meeting” -link:
Note the meeting ID and passcode, if the Zoom application requests it.
If the meeting -link is in Moodle, click the link:
2. The link will open the Zoom mobile application or a browser window. In the link opens in the browser, tap the Launch meeting –link.
The meeting link will open in the Zoom mobile application.

3. Participants may be asked to type their name and tap the Continue –button.
4. If the meeting uses a waiting room, you will be put in the waiting room and the host will be notified.
5. Once you are admitted into the meeting, tap Wifi or Cellular Data –button to use the audio device connected to the mobile device.
